Grits
Grits need around 5:1 or 4:1 liquid to grain. The quality of the grits do not matter--the final product is entirely dependent on how they are prepared.
===== Sample Recipe =====
-2 cups chicken broth
-2 cups whole milk
-salt
-pepper
-butter
-3/4c uncooked grits
-Shredded cheese (optional)
1. Bring ingredients to a boil, then add in grits. Boil covered for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
